Zenith SUB SEA ref. 02.0290.495 – "Jumbo" 39 mm
A classic sports watch from the late 1970s/early 1980s with a solid steel case and a distinctive rotating bezel. The clean, black dial features rectangular indices filled with luminescent material. A date window is located at 3 o'clock. The Zenith 49.5 quartz caliber operates inside. This watch is preserved in its original configuration and features a RARE "BRICK" BRACELET, characteristic of the era.

Collector's Note
The Zenith Sub Sea line was the brand's response to the growing popularity of sports and DIVING watches in the 1970s. Reference number 02.0290.495 is one of the few 39mm "Jumbo" variants powered by the Zenith 49.5 quartz caliber, manufactured in-house in Le Locle. The unidirectional rotating bezel underscores its tool-like character, while the minimalist dial, with its triangular index at 12 o'clock and rectangular markers at 6 and 9 o'clock, reveals its inspiration from early diver designs. Today, it is a RARE piece that perfectly captures a transitional moment in the brand's history—between the era of classic El Primero mechanicals and the development of precision quartz watches.
