Legend "IMP C AVRELIANVS AVG". Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Aurelian facing right, seen from the front.

Reverse:
Legend "CONCORDIA MILITVM". Aurelian, togate, standing right, extending his right hand to Concordia standing left; both figures facing each other. Mintmark "XXIT" in exergue (Siscia).

Historical context:
This antoninianus was struck in AD 274–275, at the Siscia mint (modern Sisak, Croatia), shortly after Aurelian reunited the fragmented Roman Empire. The reverse type “Concordia Militvm” symbolizes harmony between the emperor and his army — a vital message following years of military rebellion and crisis. Aurelian’s reforms, including his efforts to stabilize the currency and strengthen imperial authority, restored order after decades of instability. Coins such as this one reflect both his military success and his political vision of unity between ruler and soldiers, which underpinned the brief resurgence of imperial strength before his assassination in 275.
