Description from the seller

Montblanc - Andy Warhol - Pen

Beautiful ANDY WARHOL pen, from the Montblanc brand. It has the boxes and brochures and with the serial number MBLF5LCD5. Andy Warhol. Born in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania) in 1928 to an immigrant family from Eastern Europe, Andy Warhol caused a sensation by turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. With his amazing works, Andy Warhol eliminated the barriers between “refined art” and “commercial art. ” It challenged traditional assumptions about what art is and how art is made, and forever changed the established criteria of what we understand as art. Warhol's images of everyday objects, whose provocative depiction makes us forget their insignificance, are immediately recognized by art collectors and audiences around the world, and command incredible prices at art auctions. Andy Warhol achieved something that only a few artists have achieved: he became a legend in his lifetime, as well as a contemporary cultural icon who continues to inspire us today.

Andy Warhol Special Edition

Probably of all of Andy Warhol's works, the most universally recognized is his series of Campbell's Soup Cans. The design of the Andy Warhol Special Edition uses this iconic image as inspiration, which appears as a grouping of 4 cans integrated into the stainless steel cap. Both the cap and the cone look like soup can lids. Warhol's master eye for color has determined the choice of cobalt blue for the precious resin reservoir and orange for the narrow rings of the cone and front, with the smoother he used for his screen prints captured in the design of the clip. In memory of his series of dollar signs, one of them has been engraved on the handmade 585 gold nib. In addition, Warhol's signature has been engraved on the cap ring. As a leading American artist of the 20th century, Andy Warhol challenged the world to see art differently. Since its founding in 1987, at the behest of Andy Warhol, the Andy Warhol Foundation has established itself as one of the leading sources of funding for contemporary art in the United States. To date it has awarded nearly $250,000,000 in grants to support the creation, presentation and documentation of contemporary visual art, especially works that are experimental, under-recognized or challenging in nature. The foundation's ongoing efforts to protect and enhance its founder's creative legacy ensure that Warhol's innovative and outspoken genius will have a profound impact on the visual arts for generations to come. The revenue that the foundation receives from granting licenses for projects like this helps to increase its funds, which it then uses to award scholarships.
