Reliquaire ovale de la Bienheureuse Berchmans – travail italien ou flamand du XVIIIᵉ siècle

Authentique médaillon reliquaire ovale en laiton, à bélière sommital, présentant au dos un médaillon en relief représentant le Christ en buste de profil, dans un style typique du XVIIIᵉ siècle, probablement Italie du Nord ou Flandres.

L’extėrieur, protégé par un verre renferme une relique ex indumentis de la Bienheureuse Berchmans, identifiée par un papier manuscrit ancien portant l’inscription : “B. Berchm.” — vraisemblablement la Bienheureuse Jeanne de Berchmans (°1629 – †1658), religieuse flamande, béatifiée en 1865.

La relique est ornée d’un décor de paperolles dorées et d’une petite fleur centrale en papier gaufré et fil métallique, sur fond moiré doré.
Le revers conserve son sceau de cire rouge épiscopal, bien qu’altéré et craquelé, mais encore lisible dans sa structure — témoignage de l’authenticité ecclésiastique du reliquaire.

Bon état général pour l’âge – usures, oxydations et fissuration du sceau de cire – Monture complète et décor intact.
