Each pearl is individually mounted in a vertical prong setting, forming a refined linear composition typical of the Art Deco period. The pearls vary slightly in size and shape, indicating their natural origin — a detail highly prized by collectors.

The brooch is fitted with a rare trombone clasp, a secure and collectible mechanism used between 1890 and 1940. The hinge style and clasp construction suggest a production date around 1929.

The piece bears a Dutch hallmark — the oak leaf stamp — confirming its gold purity of 585 (14 karat). This hallmark was applied by official Dutch assay offices and guarantees authenticity.
