From a collection of print drawings here completely hand-colored (rare!) by Ploos van Amstel himself: Seascape with a large sailing vessel at center, two men hauling fishing nets into a smaller sloop in lower left, other ships beyond. Print made by Cornelis Ploos van Amstel (project director), etched by: Cornelis Brouwer (1733-1803), after the drawing by Ludolf Backhuizen. They usually have Ploos van Amstel's coat of arms printed on the verso as proof of authenticity.
