Yannick Ballif (1927–2009) - Blüten

Yannick Ballif (1927–2009) was a French artist. She studied art in Paris (including at the Atelier Paul Colin and Johnny Friedlaender). Her works are nationally as well as internationally known and popular. Several museums display her works (Paris, New York, Edinburgh, Prague, Buenos Aires, Warsaw, and others).

The color aquatint (embossed print) on handmade paper, issued in an edition of 50 pieces, here exemplar 48/50. It was numbered by Ballif, dated 1986, and hand-signed. Sheet size: approx. 28 x 38.5 cm, plate size: approx. 16.5 x 25.5 cm. Lower left, the dry stamp of the edition: “Jacqueline de Champvallins, Paris.” The sheet is in good condition and has never been framed.

The (only) faint browning visible on the reverse side is not a damage, but a consequence of the color-embossing print process.
