A refined Japanese hanging scroll depicting bamboo illuminated by the soft glow of the full moon, painted by the distinguished artist Mikata Kaizan (1863–1942).
The work combines ink painting and elegant calligraphy, embodying the aesthetics of serenity, resilience, and poetic depth cherished in classical Japanese art.
Rendered in gentle monochrome tones, the bamboo appears both graceful and strong, symbolizing purity and endurance. The light green brocade mounting enhances the peaceful atmosphere of the scene.
