Jerzy Dmitruk, born in 1960 in Sępopol, Poland, is a versatile artist engaged in painting, graphics, illustration, and book design. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where he graduated in 1986 from the Painting Department under the supervision of Professor Juliusz Joniak. Additionally, he took courses in intaglio techniques with Professor A. Pietsch and in book design and typography with lecturer R. Bonaszewski at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the same academy.
Dmitruk is known for his large formats, in which he simplifies compositional elements into geometric shapes. His graphic series, such as "Siewca Plonów" (The Sower of Crops), "Życie Malarza" (The Life of the Painter), and "Ogród Pierwszej Miłości" (The Garden of First Love), showcase his unique style and vision.
His works are part of the collections of the National Museum in Kraków, the Silesian Museum in Katowice, and the District Museum in Nowy Sącz. Additionally, his works can be found in private collections both in Poland and internationally.
