History
In the late 1940s, silkscreen printing had just appeared in France. The painter Philippe Cara-Costéa adopted this technique to create the poster for the first Young Painting Salon and to produce his own prints. He had the idea to introduce his painter friends to this process and, between 1950 and 1953, published about fifty silkscreen prints under the title 'Subject'.
