Circa 9th – 12th century AD
An authentic bronze cross pendant with flared terminals, cast with a textured surface to resemble wood grain, symbolising the True Cross. The suspension loop remains intact, allowing it to still be worn today.
Crosses of this type were popular throughout the Byzantine Empire and were worn as expressions of Christian faith as well as protective amulets.

Condition: Very good condition with a natural green patina. Suspension loop intact. Some wear consistent with age.
Provenance: Private European collection, acquired in the 1990s.
