Kuretake & Wancher Maki-e fountain pen with Flower Geisha design, stainless steel SHARA-Q nib, aluminium black-lacquer body, 13.8 cm long and 1.1 cm in diameter, made in Japan in the 2020s, unused in its original box with converter or cartridge.
Description from the seller
Wancher × Kuretake Maki-e fountain pen, made of black lacquered aluminum.
Item Description
This is a stunning Japanese fountain pen featuring traditional maki-e lacquerwork, depicting 華舞妓 (Hanamaiko) — a name meaning “elegant, flower-like dancing apprentice geisha,” symbolizing grace, beauty, and refined Japanese artistry. The pen body is finished in deep black lacquer and adorned with gold and iridescent pigments, complemented by soft pink cherry blossom highlights. Crafted in collaboration between Kuretake and Wancher, this model exemplifies modern maki-e excellence, blending centuries-old Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary elegance.
The body is remarkably thin, lightweight, yet strong—one of its main highlights. The nib is made of stainless steel and engraved with the signature Wancher flower emblem. This pen is presented in its original wooden box and includes a guarantee certificate.
