Description from the seller
Fruit Still Life
European School, 20th century
Style: Realist
Technique: Oil on canvas
This composition features an exuberant fruit still life arranged carefully on a table, where textures, colors, and volumes combine in a scene of great visual richness. In the foreground, ripe peaches, a bunch of purple grapes, and a peeled orange add dynamism to the scene. Next to them, a dark plum and a greenish pear are visible. On the right side, several slices of watermelon display vibrant red pulp sprinkled with seeds, providing a strong chromatic contrast.
In the center, a raised golden cup holds more fruits, surrounded by clusters of white and purple grapes that fall naturally. A glass of white wine also appears on the left, balancing the composition and reinforcing the classic atmosphere of the still life. The background, softly treated, allows the variety of fruits to become the absolute protagonist of the work.
The art piece is presented in a classic wooden frame in golden tones, with a wide molding and a sober finish that appropriately complements the chromatic richness of the still life.
