Corneille, L'Enchantement de l'été, a 1977 lithograph hand-signed in a limited edition and framed, measuring 88 x 71 cm with frame (65 x 50 cm without frame).
Description from the seller
Corneille (1922–2010) was co-founder of the CoBrA movement and an important innovator within post-war art. His work evolved from abstract to figurative, with recurring themes such as birds, women, and flowers.
In this lively and poetic work, Corneille brings together his recognizable themes: the woman, the bird, and nature. A red female figure lies dreaming in the tall grass, while above her a stylized bird flies through the blue sky. The bright colors – red, green, and blue – contrast strongly and give the image an intense vitality.
Dimensions with frame: 88 x 71 cm
Dimensions without frame: 65 x 50 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. Additionally, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we collaborate with restorers from the professional organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you wish to make use of this service, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
