Aldo Borgonzoni recounts through images the dramas of a humanity that, whether around his native Medicina (Italy), in distant Vietnam, or in any country, reveals itself both as protagonist and as victim of the hunger and violence that some men impose on others; and thus, once again, reality is confronted with a rebellious spirit, and the pencil, the brush, and color become the means to penetrate—through the artist’s generous impulses—into the very heart of those situations that uncontrolled instincts, cruelty, war, and the eternal conflict between good and evil manage to create.4
