Important and rare work attributed to the great Triestine artist Ugo Flumiani (Trieste, 1876 – 1938), masterfully painted in oil on canvas in good pictorial condition.
The painting measures 86x130 cm.
The decorated wooden frame is original from the period.
A signature and artist's mark.
Biography
Ugo Flumiani studied at the Venice Academy under the painter Guglielmo Ciardi (1842-1917). Soon, he turned towards landscape and marine painting, following the intimate and lyrical path left by the master.
He then continues his education at the Bologna Academy, where he studies architecture and decoration. But he decides to complete his studies after a short stay in Naples, at the Munich Academy.
Origin: from a private collection in Trieste.
