Montblanc Meisterstück 146 LeGrand fountain pen with a black high‑gloss resin body and cap, 14K solid gold nib, 14K gold‑plated trim, 142 mm long and 13 mm in diameter, dating from the second half of the 20th century, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
This Montblanc Meisterstück 146 “LeGrand” is in excellent condition, retaining all the elegance and presence that characterize one of the most iconic symbols of German luxury writing.
The body and cap, made from high-gloss black precious resin, retain an impeccable finish, free of scratches, cracks, or loss of luster. Their surface uniformly reflects the deep polish characteristic of Montblanc.
The 14-karat gold-plated details — clip, rings, and decorative hoops — are presented with a warm, uniform shine, showing very light use. The engraving 'MONTBLANC – MEISTERSTÜCK No.146' on the central ring displays slight wear in the inscription, typical of the passage of time, but without affecting its legibility or the overall appeal of the piece.
The solid 14K gold nib, engraved with “4810 – Montblanc,” is kept in excellent condition, with no deformations or loss of the tip, offering a smooth, balanced, and precise stroke. The ink window remains transparent and clean, and the piston mechanism operates smoothly with full travel.
Overall, the pen is classified as a collector's grade piece (9.3/10): fully functional, with excellent aesthetic presentation and intact mechanical parts. A high-level writing instrument, representative of Montblanc's technical refinement and timeless elegance.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
