Up for auction is this extremely rare Stroh Phonofiddle in bery well preserved shape. The neck is straight, the horn is well preserved, which is very rare!, and all screws are original. Even the felt on the leg rests is there on good shape.

This extremely rare piece comes from the heritage of a collector and was designed and patented in 1899 by Stroh as a louder instrument for recordings. When in the 20's the first microphones appeared, the Stroh company slowely faded and dissapeared. 

Everything works on this instrument. It comes with its original Bow and hairs, but unfortunately this needs to be restored( it works and would look great at a museum together).

Rare instrument for the museum, collector or musician, due to tue fact that it sounds amazing and is in tune with a low action for excellent playabillity!
