Short sword derived from the 'Glaive de l'école de Mars', a design by the famous painter Jacques-Louis David (1748-1825). A typical design much like the classicalist style of the Roman sword (gladius). 

Solid brass hilt with linear decorations. A double-edged sword, with original leather sheath decorated with brass and copper elements.

Length 61 cm.

In very good condition, despite its age. Has some signs of ageing and the leather is slightly worn. Beautiful specimen in fine condition.
