Before bidding, please read carefully the description and look at the several large-sized and detailed photos, which are to be considered an integral part of the description. 

RARE and beautiful PNF used in provincial offices or during events (Such as during the visit of A.H., leader of the Third Reich, in Rome in 1938). It was part of a classic set of three pieces for balconies (consisting of 1 green-white-red Italian flag, 1 PNF flag, 1 Italian flag with inverted colours red-white-green) or placed in public buildings, schools, offices. Original and made of cotton, of excellent workmanship, entirely coeval of that period and not reassembled... Dimensions: 1.22 x 77 cm. It still has the old supports used to mount it on a balcony or as a banner on lampposts, walls, etc. The yellow-ochre print is still visible but slightly worn. The end of the flag is also slightly worn. 


•Why is it so RARE? First of all, because these flags were property of the state and not of the private citizen who bought and exhibited them. Secondly, because they were the typical “disposable” flags, created for the occasion in very large quantities (this can be seen from its lower quality compared to the flags sold by private companies), and then requisitioned by the contractor company and destroyed or torn in pieces and used to create other things (such as propaganda handkerchiefs, small flags for children, etc.), just because they were useless and impossible to sell. This flag, with a few hundreds of other flags out of the thousands manufactured (even though they were withdrawn from circulation), was not destroyed by pure coincidence and stayed in a warehouse of the company GAETANO DELL’ORTO (the manufacturer commissioned to create the huge welcome to A.H. for his visit in Italy.
