Very beautiful old antique copy of which the inside is expertly restored. Contains some prints:

The book does have the following pages missing: the title page, pages 1 & 2, pages 147 through 158, the last page; flyleafs missing; binding is very good, no loose pages; locks missing. 

The photos provide a good impression of the object’s condition.

Some information on the object’s origin: It comes from one of the following countries, I presume: Bulgaria, Serbia or Russia...

From the calendar in the final part of the book, one can state that it dates from 1876 at latest.

Church Slavonic is the liturgical language of the Slavic Eastern Orthodox and Eastern Catholic churches.

The current Church Slavonic evolved from the Old Church Slavonic, which was based on old South Slavonic (Macedonian-Bulgarian) dialect, and has various local variants (so-called recensions) The language is written in the Cyrillic alphabet and is only used as a holy language.

The texts originating from Russia (since the 11th century) show deviations which label the language Russian Church Slavonic, the Serbian variant is called Serbian Church Slavonic, the Bulgarian variant is called Middle Bulgarian.

The Church Slavonic was formerly also used as the general language for writing. This was the case up until 18th century and part of the 19th century in Russia. Thereafter, it was replaced by the respective national colloquial languages. Modern day Russian still contains many Church Slavonic elements. (Source: Wikipedia)
