Rarely offered, portable record player Philips type 2110 from 1952. 

Record player has a metal chassis which is placed in a bakelite case (Philite) consisting of two parts (bottom and lid).
The cover, with Philips logo, is completely removable.
Dimensions: width 35 cm. high 11 cm. depth 22 cm.

The bakelite is in beautiful condition with no breaks or cracks.

The original cartridge was lost and is replaced by another copy.

The AG2110 has 3 speeds (45, 78 and 33 1/3) and thus suitable for singles, 78-rpm records and LPs.  
Furthermore, there is a "0" position, which is set if the record player is not in use, to prevent damage to the drive wheel.

The record player works great.

The on-off switch is linked with the arm and has an automatic exit.

The arm, very light, very nice shape and is also called "Rocket arm or Pike Head".

When placing the lid  the arm must be moved within the cabinet, for which a separate recess is present.

In the bakelite bottom are two x two holes for the plugs of the two connection cables. The connection cables themselves are in the box below the turntable.

These record players need to be connected to radio or amplifier.
