In 2013, I wrote Owen Garriot to sign a few pictures. However, Astronaut Owen Garriott stopped giving signatures in 2002, which I didn't know at the time.
Owen Garriott died on April 15, 2019, and on April 23, 2019, I received 2 photos signed by him.
I asked his son Richard how this was possible and he replied to me:
 "Yes, I found the pile of unsent photos. Some were signed but never sent, others were unsigned.
I mailed them all out.
If he had not signed them, I added a letter and a card he and I had made together."

This is thus a rare drawn photograph of astronaut Owen Garriott signed shortly before his death.

Owen Kay Garriott (Enid (Oklahoma), November 22, 1930 – Huntsville (Alabama), April 15, 2019) was an American astronaut. Garriotts first space flight was Skylab-3 with a Saturn IB rocket, on July 28, 1973. His 2nd in 1983.
He is the father of entrepreneur and space tourist Richard Garriott.

Photo comes along with scan of the mail, original NASA lithograph of Skylab (20 x 25 cm), and original pamphlet from 1972 (12 x 18 cm).
