'With this group they wanted to change life using graphic work and political action. Their initial goal with Grapus was only to print posters and advertisements for the communist party. The name Grapus is an abbreviation of the term “crapules staliniennes” (Stalinist rabble). Since 1978, Grapus exhibits in important museums such as the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Musée de l'Affiche in Paris (for which this advertisement was made), the Aspen Art Museum in Colorado in the US and the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal in Canada.'
