Nice 3/4 violin from violin maker Edmund Paulus, Markneukirchen (Sachsen)
Total length 56 cm. Top length 34 cm.
The Paulus workshop was one of the most important workshops in Markneukirchen in the period before the First World War and produced instruments largely for the middle segment of the export market to the United States. This is a very typical example built after a generic Stradivari model and tastefully aged, with a warm and sweet sound that carries well.
The violin has an additional label that reads:
