These are two special music boxes by Enesco - special editions with an “Open-book” format.

Over the waves.
The open book reveals a navigation map. The beautiful sailing ship moves back and forth. The small sailboat in front also moves along.  A ship's boy is sitting on the treasure chest. Next to it stands the captain (He is loose and needs to be re-glued in place. Please see the photos). The winding button is at the bottom - the little hatch along the side has to be shifted to start.
Both the musical and movement mechanisms are in good working order.
Measurements are: 18 cm x 14.5 cm x 14 cm.

“School Days”.
On the open book there is a blackboard where the teacher gives a lesson to several mice. This music box is really beautiful to see and crafted down to the smallest details. The mechanism is not working at the moment and needs to be checked by a handy buyer.
Measurements are: 13.5 cm x 14.5 cm x 14 cm.
