Octavo, half bottle-green shagreen binding at the corners. Flat spine, decorated compartment. Binding signed “E. De Brun”. Work in excellent condition, full of all its boards (see photos).

Illustrated work of 20 beautiful folding boards (including one of coloured flags): garden plans, houses, fortresses, topography, instruments useful for drawing up plans.

Claude-Mathieu Delagardette (1762 - 1805) was a French architect. During the Revolution, he was credited with building a Holy Mountain in the Martoi Square in Orleans. This building disappeared quite quickly. He worked on Mirabeau's tomb in Marseille. A monument for the city of Blois in 1801. He was in Montpellier in 1803 where he worked on the amphitheatre of the School of Medicine and in 1804 on a greenhouse for the Garden of Plants.
