Very rare work bound in full calf-leather binding with five raised bands to spine. Gilt decorations to spine, spine label only partially remaining. Marbled pastedowns, gilted block edges, tipped in plates. Tab. IV (Malum Aurantium & Malum Citreum) and VII (Methodus Infinitorum similium) not present. Tab. III is a folding. Few wood engravings in text. Ink inscription to final free endpaper and pencil inscription to title page. General browning to pages, many pages have liquid staining to margins. Not identical to VD17 1:043960W. Listed 4 times in worldcat. 252+2pp.

The editors of Nova literaria maris Balthici were inspired by the first German literary periodical Acta Eruditorum. It was published between 1698 and 1708 in monthly parts, each year accompanied by a subject and name index.
