Beautiful old instrument, beautifully carved rosette and nicely decorated bridge. Does also have its traces of use of course, for example a piece of the curl has broken off, on top of the tuning pegs. However, all mechanisms are present and original, and the curved body has no tears, which is pretty uncommon. All staves fit each other! All in all pretty well conserved. The string height unfortunately is too high. You are able to accompany yourself with simple chords, the strings are a bit too high above the fretboard higher up. 
In short: limited playability and an eye-catcher. Works well as a theater prop, or in a window, and on a Medieval festival...

Tuned as a guitar, sounds lovely as a lute. Nice sidekick for guitar players that love the Medievals or Larping for example.
