B.H. Slotman (Rotterdam, 1939), pseudonym of Jack J. van der Put. Jack van der Put was born in Rotterdam in 1939. When Jack moved to Hilversum, he got his eduction with the famous Dutch painter J.F.C. Scherrewitz (1868-1951). Jack got very inspired by the French impressionists, which can often be seen in his work. He used balanced colours in perfectly chosen compositions. His preference is with painting landscapes, still lifes, beach scenes and modern compositions in sparkling illuminating colours. Trough the years, Jack van der Put has exposed in different European countries like England, Sweden, Germany and of course the Netherlands. Van der Put also signed his work often with the names: Jack Mulder and B.H. Slotman.
