Een grote Qing-dynastie speksteenbeeld van Bodhisattva Guanyin, staand met een fly whisk en fles, uit speksteen gehouwen, afmetingen 51 x 22 x 12 cm, circa 9 kg, basis gebarsten en voet deeltelijk ontbrekend, verkocht zoals het is.

A nice and very large (!) carved soapstone statue of the bodhisattva Guanyin.
The bodhisattva is depicted standing with a fly whisk and holding a bottle. Her hair in a high chignon and her face with serene expression. She stands on a carved lotus base.
Guanyin, known as the Goddess of Mercy, is a beloved figure in East Asian Buddhism. Often depicted as compassionate and serene, she embodies kindness, healing, and protection. Guanyin is revered as a savior who answers the prayers of the suffering. The water bottle represents Guanyin's role as purifier and nurturer, the fly whisk fly whisk, or chauri, is a symbol of Guanyin's compassion and grace, representing her desire to brush away suffering

Condition: The base has been cracked and reglued; the foot of the Guanyin is partly missing. Minor natural occuring imperfections, wear, scratches, and accumulated dirt throughout.
