French mechanical mantel clock with striking function and decorative automaton, made in the second half of the 20th century. The clock has a wooden case with decorative veneer and brass ornaments. The dial is protected by glass and features Roman numerals. The mechanical spring-driven movement activates a bell strike, during which a decorative automaton figure strikes the bell. The back plate is marked “Made in France” and bears a stamped serial / model number: [161059], confirming French manufacture.
