Beschrijving van de verkoper

Leica Leicameter MR - Metrawatt - ca. 1963-1980

Description Offered is a classic Leica Leicameter MR, a high-quality clip-on exposure meter designed specifically for Leica M-series rangefinder cameras. Manufactured by Metrawatt in Nuremberg, Germany, this CdS (Cadmium Sulfide) meter was a significant technological step forward from earlier selenium-cell models, offering much greater sensitivity in low-light conditions.

The Leicameter MR is designed to couple directly with the shutter speed dial of compatible Leica M cameras (such as the M2, M3, M4, and M4-P), allowing for a seamless, semi-automatic exposure workflow. Its sleek, low-profile design and satin chrome finish make it a perfect functional and aesthetic match for vintage Leica bodies.

Specifications

Type: Clip-on CdS exposure meter

Compatibility: Leica M2, M3, M4, M4-2, M4-P

Metering: Selective 27° angle of view (equivalent to a 90mm lens field of view)

Shutter Speed Range: 1/1000s to 120 seconds

ISO Range: 6 to 3200 ASA

Features: Battery check button and high/low light range switch

Country of Origin: Germany (Metrawatt for Leitz)

Condition

Cosmetic: The meter is in very good aesthetic condition with minor signs of use. The chrome finish is bright and the markings on the dial are sharp and legible.

Mechanical: The shutter speed coupling dial rotates smoothly across its entire range.

Optical/Electronic: The needle responds to light changes and the battery check function shows activity (accuracy not verified).

Hardware: The mounting shoe is clean and intact.

Please note: This meter requires a specific mercury-style battery (or modern equivalent) to function. Accuracy has not been tested with film. The images are an integral part of the description.
