This is an especially hard-to-find model from the prestigious Brother De Luxe line.
At the moment, there is no other example of the Brother De Luxe 440 available online worldwide, further highlighting the exclusivity and collectible value of this piece.

The Brother De Luxe 440 typewriter is not to be confused with the later more common, cheaper and plastic version: Brother 440TR. This De Luxe 440 is an earlier, robust version from the De Luxe series.
The 440 models without “TR” are rarer and were mainly distributed in Europe, often with an AZERTY keyboard for French-speaking markets.
