Full size - XF-GP Twin Window Eye-port - 1978 - Jacky Ickx helmet
Jacques "Jacky" Ickx is a legendary Belgian former racing driver who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans six times and achieved eight wins in Formula One.
Here we offer one of the most iconic helmets of this legendary F1 and Porsche driver, this simple design with the very dark blue (almost black) and the white striping is very powerful and very recognizable, combined with the twin eye helmet design makes this helmet a very remarkable and unique piece.
The original vintage Shoei race helmet is painstakingly and professionally restored to match a very rare XF-GP Twin Window Eye port, which is very expensive, this transformation is perfectly done!
This original vintage F1 helmet has been fully stripped and then perfectly painted with new graphics and fitted with a original (as new) period visor, the lower part of the helmet there's a Velcro rim attached, this was used to add the head sock, an extra fire protection to shield the drivers neck and face from fire, this helmet looks exactly as the original and is brand new.
As you can see the helmet has the original SNELL 1970 (for professional motorsports), the size label, and warning labels on the inside.
