Transience spiegel, ontworpen door Lex Pott en David Derksen, vervaardigd in Nederland in 2010–2020, handgemaakte glas spiegel met een geoxideerde zilveren onderlaag die paarse, blauwe, gouden, bruine en zilveren tinten toont, maat circa H1600 x W550 x D6 mm (binnenmaat H1500 x W550), gewicht 13 kg, nieuwstaat met ruwe oxidatievlekken als onderdeel van het ontwerp.

Over time dark spots start to appear on mirrors. The silver layer is slowly oxidizing under the influence of oxygen and water, thereby showing some of its history. This process can be regarded as degradation, however this project shows the beauty of this material transition of silver. These Mirrors designed by Lex Pott and David Derksen reveal different states of oxidation through an accelerated process. All mirrors are handmade and the oxidation patterns look slightly different on each piece. This roughness in oxidation and the clean geometrical aesthetics make each design mirror truly unique and beautiful.
This mirror is new and in good condition with some rough oxidation spots in purple pattern of the silver, charm of the process in the end.. The last 5 pics is the mirror you'll receive. We'd like to offer them to the Catawiki community for a reduced price (regular price is 2590 euros, but making offers below 1300 Euro doesn't make any sense.).
Pay attention, we ship the item in a solid, large wooden crate from a warehouse outside the Netherlands. The reason it might be more expensive than expected on shipment costs. Pickup of items is not possible.
