Matthieu van Riel - French Alps

I like walking in The Alps, Dolomites, Pyrenees and rugged mountainous regions in Scandinavia, along flower- and tulipfields, along the North Sea coast and the Atlantic Ocean, in polders, heathlands and forests in the Netherlands.
Nature is in my mind. That is why many of my paintings are about nature, about landscape.

Painted on artist quality canvas (see image), painted with Winsor&Newton professional top quality acryllic paint and other quality acrylic paint. Ready to hang. A frame is not needed. The painting will be carefully packaged in plastic between two sheets of mdf to protect the painting, and shipped in a cardboard box.

Since 1988 I have been working full-time as a professional visual artist in my own studio.

Unfortunately, in some images you can see the moiré effect, the wavy lines on the image. The moiré effect is caused by photographing the cotton I paint on, its structure. If you zoom in, the effect is usually gone. Information about the moiré effect can be found on the internet.
