Yamaha TX-2000 Tuner
The Yamaha TX-2000 is a high-end AM/FM stereo tuner from Yamaha’s renowned “Natural Sound” series. This model is often regarded by audiophiles as one of the best tuners ever made by the brand, thanks in part to its extremely high signal-to-noise ratio and solid build quality.
The bottom panel is made entirely of copper; see photos.
Key Features
• Signal Processing: Utilizes a Phase Locked Loop (PLL) tuner and an absolutely linear-phase IF amplifier for pure reception.
• Reception Options: Features a Computer Servo Lock system and offers both automatic and manual tuning modes.
• Advanced Settings: Equipped with a Narrow/Wide Band mode and an RF attenuator (on/off) to optimize reception for strong or weak signals.
• Signal-to-noise ratio (FM): 90 dB (according to standard specifications), with peak values of up to 103 dB in stereo during testing.
• Total harmonic distortion (THD): 0.03%.
• Frequency range: 20 Hz to 15 kHz (FM).
• Dimensions & Weight: Approximately 435 x 95 x 366 mm (W x H x D) and weighs about 7 kg.
