Mariska’s werk is gedrukt op 300 g barytpapier van Hahnemühle, kunstpapier. geleverd met een certificaat van echtheid, ondertekend en genummerd.
Mariska is geboren in Suriname, Zuid-Amerika. Oorspronkelijk Surinaams, Indonesisch, Afrikaans en een beetje Nederlands, groeide ze op in Nederland. Opgegroeid in het mooie Vermeerstad - Delft, wonend in Nederland, het land van Rembrandt, kwam ze in contact met Venetië voor een opdracht voor een parfummerk en raakte diep onder de indruk van de barokke kunst, architectuur en geschiedenis van Venetië. Al deze invloeden in haar leven hebben haar geïnspireerd. Mariska begon deze inspiratie in haar eigen werk te verwerken, met invloeden uit haar leven en bestaan.
Mariska brengt veel tijd door met het zorgvuldig samenstellen van haar sets, wat ook haar andere talenten omvat. Ze schetst met houtskool, werkt met goud, textiel en is een uitstekende fotomanipulator. Al haar talenten komen samen in elk werk dat ze creëert.
Mariska fotografeert voornamelijk vrouwen, waaronder gedurfde vrouwen in glamoureuze, mysterieuze en mooie omgevingen, met zachte huidskleuren en een vleugje fantasie in een sensuele sfeer, gecombineerd met de gevoeligheid van de oude meesters. De vrouwen die ze fotografeert lijken zich niet bewust van hun omgeving, maar blijven onweerstaanbaar dominant. Ze legt de menselijke figuur vast in menselijke emoties. Ze spreekt in een universele taal die we allemaal begrijpen, ongeacht waar we wonen in deze wereld.

Mariska is a fine art photographer working internationally.
Her creative process is carefully constructed and highly multidisciplinary. She builds elaborate sets with great attention to detail and integrates her other artistic passions: charcoal drawing, working with gold, textiles, and advanced image editing. Every piece she creates brings all of these elements together into one cohesive expression.
In a short period of time she has won several renowned international awards the PX3 Prix de la Photographie de Paris, first place gold, in the full category of professional visual arts, Gold award Trierenberg Supercircuit - category emotions and nominated as ambassador of Tolerance.
She has participated in various photo exhibitions in New York, the Netherlands, China, Poland, France, Italy and has had several museum and gallery exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
