Mijn geheugen kan wankelen, mijn verleden een versnipperd mozaïek, maar mijn herinnering aan jou blijft bestaan. Ik ben geen dwaas, John. Als je maar een glimp kon opvangen van de storm in mijn hoofd, de sombere diepten en de onrust die ik doorsta. Mijn hart mag gebarsten zijn, zijn slagen echoën in een kamer van verlies, maar binnen die scheuren blijft de liefde voor jou bestaan, koppig en helder. Kun je dat niet voelen, John? Kun je dat beetje warmte niet voelen? Ik ben geen dwaas, John. Ik voel gewoon met alles wat ik nog over heb. Maar zal je wat er nog van over is breken? Wil je niet?"

About the Artist:

Bess Irissa is a visual artist living between Lisbon and Nimes, multipotentialite, and seasoned photographer with a creative journey spanning over 15 years. Her work weaves together analogue and digital photography, experimental processes, lomography, and abstract mixed media—creating a poetic and deeply expressive visual narrative.

Drawing inspiration from feminine energy and the elemental force of Mother Nature, Bess explores themes of intuition, transformation, and inner power. She skillfully integrates traditional techniques with modern digital tools—particularly in photography—using platforms like Adobe Creative Cloud to enhance and deconstruct imagery in imaginative ways.

Her art has been featured in exhibitions across Lisbon and internationally, and forms part of private collections around the world.
