Over het kunstwerk
In dit kunstwerk ligt de focus op het voeden van de ziel door zoetheid. In dit geval wordt zoetheid gerepresenteerd door een aardbei. Binnen het kader wordt dualiteit weergegeven. De vrouw voedt symbolisch haar ziel met een aardbei, die staat voor iets plezierigs, liefde, geluk, of simpelweg genieten van de kleine dingen in het leven.
“In mijn werk onderzoek ik beide zijden van het leven, ook zijn schaduwzijde. Het is fascinerend, omdat uit dit schaduwgebied nieuwe inzichten kunnen ontstaan.”

Mijn creatieve proces is zorgvuldig opgebouwd en diep multidisciplinair. Ik bouw mijn sets met veel aandacht voor detail en verwerk mijn andere artistieke passies: houtskooltekenen, werken met goud, textiel en geavanceerde fotobewerking. Elk werk dat ik creëer brengt al deze elementen samen tot één samenhangende uitdrukking.

Mariska is a fine art photographer working internationally.
Her creative process is carefully constructed and highly multidisciplinary. She builds elaborate sets with great attention to detail and integrates her other artistic passions: charcoal drawing, working with gold, textiles, and advanced image editing. Every piece she creates brings all of these elements together into one cohesive expression.
In a short period of time she has won several renowned international awards the PX3 Prix de la Photographie de Paris, first place gold, in the full category of professional visual arts, Gold award Trierenberg Supercircuit - category emotions and nominated as ambassador of Tolerance.
She has participated in various photo exhibitions in New York, the Netherlands, China, Poland, France, Italy and has had several museum and gallery exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
