Impressive old wall crucifix featuring a heavy, finely detailed polychrome metal figure of Christ mounted on a solid wooden cross.

The corpus is highly expressive and realistically modelled, with detailed facial features, hair, anatomy, wounds and drapery. The original painted surface shows age-related wear and areas of paint loss, revealing the silver-coloured metal beneath and giving the piece an authentic, untouched appearance.

The wooden cross has a warm natural grain, a metal INRI plaque and its original hanging fitting on the reverse.
