Elegante vintage paar decoratieve fermalibro's, bestaande uit twee beeldjes van olifanten, één aan elke kant. De dieren zijn fijn met de hand gesneden en tonen een natuurlijke kleurstelling in honinggeel, roomkleur en bruin, met nerfpatronen en variaties die elk stuk uniek maken.

De beeldjes zijn geplaatst op stevige rechthoekige bases met een verticale achterste ondersteuning, ontworpen om boeken te dragen. De handgemaakte details zijn vooral duidelijk in de oren, slurf, poten en het oppervlak van het lichaam.

Het materiaal lijkt een natuurlijke decoratieve steen te zijn, mogelijk marmersteen, oranje of een ornamentele kalksteen; uit alleen de foto’s kan de exacte minerale variëteit niet met absolute zekerheid worden vastgesteld. Vintage Pair of Elephant Bookends

Elegant vintage pair of decorative bookends, consisting of two sculpted elephant figures, one for each side. The elephants are finely carved and feature attractive natural colouring in honey yellow, cream and brown tones, with individual veins and variations that make each piece unique.

The sculptures are mounted on solid rectangular bases with vertical rear supports, designed to hold books securely. The handcrafted details are particularly visible in the ears, trunks, legs and textured surfaces of the elephants.

The material appears to be a natural decorative stone, possibly alabaster, onyx or another ornamental limestone; from photographs alone, the exact mineral variety cannot be confirmed with absolute certainty. The polished surface highlights the natural variations and veining of the stone.
