A charming cast iron mechanical bank inspired by the iconic “Trick Dog” design, produced circa 1950. Featuring a hand-painted clown, a dog and a barrel-shaped coin holder, this decorative piece faithfully recreates one of the most beloved mechanical bank designs ever produced.

The mechanism is fully functional. Simply place a coin in the barrel and operate the side lever: the dog moves forward, appears to take the coin in its mouth, and deposits it inside the bank before returning to its starting position. This delightful mechanical action has made the Trick Dog one of the most recognizable and collectible mechanical bank designs.

Crafted from cast iron, the bank remains in very good vintage condition with well-preserved original polychrome paint. The casting details are sharp and crisp, while the mechanism operates smoothly as intended. Only light age-related wear is present, consistent with careful use and age.
