Tafellamp-model E 1142 van Sonja Katzin voor ASEA, Zweden, uit de jaren 1950, uitgevoerd in messing met een reliëfgegoten stengel en ronde basis, voorzien van de originele messing lamphouder en een witte textielkap, afmetingen: 34,5 cm hoog inclusief kap (21 cm zonder kap), basis 15 cm vierkant, opnieuw bedrading met textielbekabeling en een inline schakelaar, gemerkt E 1142 en ASEA, in goede staat met tekenen van ouderdom en gebruik en werkend.

Executed in brass with a relief-cast stem and circular base. Fitted with the original brass lamp holder and a white textile shade.
Marked E 1142 and ASEA underneath.
Dimensions:
Height approx. 34.5 cm including shade.
Height without shade approx. 21 cm.
Condition
Wear and patina consistent with age and use. Textile shade. Rewired with textile-covered cable and an inline switch.
Designer / Manufacturer
Sonja Katzin (1919–2014) was a Swedish sculptor and designer. During the 1950s, she designed several lighting fixtures for ASEA, in which her sculptural background is clearly reflected in the organic relief patterns and carefully modelled brass forms. Her lamps are today among the more sought-after examples of Swedish post-war lighting design.
