Prachtig paar decoratieve consoles, vervaardigd in Rococo-stijl en gekenmerkt door rijke ornamentale afwerking. Beide consoles hebben een gecoördineerde structuur, met een halvemaanvormig blad, een ivoor/crème gekleurde ondergrond, vergulde profielen en verfijnde met de hand geschilderde bloemdecoraties.

Het voorfront is verrijkt met elaboratieve, gesculpteerde en aangebrachte ornamenten, met krullen, rocaille, schelpen en vegetal bloemmotieven. De poten, elegant gebogen en krom, eindigen in rijk gesculpte krullende poten, waardoor het geheel een sterk scenografische uitstraling krijgt.

De bladen zijn versierd met delicate polychrome bloemmotieven, ingesloten door elegante decoratieve lijsten. De combinatie van ivoor, crème, wit en vergulde details creëert een verfijnde decoratieve uitstraling die typisch is voor Italiaanse meubels in aristocratische smaak.

Conditie

Goede vintage conditie rekening houdend met leeftijd, met duidelijke tekenen van tijd en gebruik.

De foto’s tonen enkele verliezen van vergulding, abrassies, krassen en kleine afschilferingen van de afwerking langs de randen van de bladen en op decoratieve elementen. Ook normale onvolkomenheden van het oppervlak en schilderwerk aanwezig, in overeenstemming met de leeftijd en met het ambachtelijke karakter van de stukken.

Specifiek wordt gewezen op de aanwezigheid van enkele onvolkomenheden en tekenen op het bovenste gedeelte en de randen, duidelijk zichtbaar op de foto’s. De constructie behoudt echter een belangrijke decoratieve werking en behoudt zijn oorspronkelijke esthetische kenmerken.

Beautiful matching pair of decorative console tables, designed in the Rococo tradition and characterized by rich ornamental workmanship. Both consoles feature a shaped half-moon top, an ivory/cream painted finish, gilded mouldings and delicate hand-painted floral decoration.

The front is richly embellished with carved and applied ornamental elements, including scrolls, rocaille motifs, shell forms and vegetal details. The elegantly curved cabriole-style legs terminate in richly carved scroll feet, giving the pair a highly decorative and theatrical appearance.

The tops are decorated with delicate polychrome floral compositions enclosed within painted ornamental borders. The combination of ivory, cream, white and gilded details creates a refined appearance typical of aristocratic Italian decorative furniture.

Normal surface imperfections and wear to the painted decoration are also present, consistent with the age and handcrafted character of the pieces.
