Antieke studeer-/leest fauteuil – Revival-stijl, eind 19e / begin 20e eeuw

Elegante antieke fauteuil met een uit hout gesneden en gedraaide structuur, gekenmerkt door een bijzondere ronde zitting en een verfijnde, omvattende rugleuning met gepolsterde armleuningen.

Het meubel heeft een structuur van massief hout, waarschijnlijk walnoot, met een mooie bruin- honingkleurige patina die in de loop der tijd is ontstaan. De houten elementen zijn rijk versierd: de steunpunten van de armleuningen eindigen in chique curling, terwijl in het midden van de rugleuning een decoratief ingesneden motief aanwezig is. De vier poten zijn beweegbaar en licht gebogen en zijn verbonden door een kenmerkend systeem van kruisende houten traverse, wat de fauteuil grote stabiliteit en een bijzonder verfijnde uitstraling geeft.

De zitting, rugleuning en armleuningen zijn bekleed met stof in oud-roos/koraal, aangevuld met sierrandjes. De bekleding behoudt het eigen tijdperkcharme, met duidelijke sporen van tijd en gebruik, waaronder kleurvariaties, slijtage en enkele vlekken, zoals zichtbaar op de foto's.

Conditie

Over het algemeen in overeenstemming met de leeftijd en het gebruik van het meubel. De houten structuur heeft een mooie antieke patina, met normale krassen, kleine sporen, (schuur)slijtage en kleurvariaties die door de tijd zijn ontstaan.

De bekleding vertoont slijtage, verkleuring en vlekken, vooral zichtbaar aan de achterzijde en bovenkant van de rugleuning. Professionele reiniging kan aan te raden zijn, of voor wie dat wenst, een toekomstige herbekleding van de bekleding.

Ook op de houten onderdelen zijn normale tekenen van leeftijd en gebruik aanwezig. Graag alle foto's zorgvuldig bekijken, deze vormen een integraal onderdeel van de beschrijving.

Antique Armchair – Historic Revival Style, Late 19th / Early 20th Century

Elegant antique armchair with a carved and turned wooden frame, featuring an unusual circular seat and an enveloping backrest with upholstered armrests.

The chair is made of solid wood, probably walnut, with a beautiful warm brown patina developed naturally over time. The wooden structure is finely worked, with elegant scroll-shaped supports beneath the armrests, a decorative carved motif at the centre of the backrest and four shaped, slightly curved legs. The legs are connected by distinctive crossed wooden stretchers, giving the chair both stability and an attractive decorative appearance.

The seat, backrest and armrests are upholstered in antique rose/coral-coloured fabric, finished with decorative braid. The upholstery retains the character of its period, with visible signs of age and use, including colour variations, wear and some staining, all clearly visible in the photographs.

Condition
