Beschrijving van de verkoper
Zeldzaam Art Deco fruitsalade-service in amberkleurig glas en chroommetaal
Beschrijving
* Hoogte: 33 cm
* Breedte/diameter: 22 cm
Samenstelling
* 1 centrale kom
* 6 schaaltjes van amberkleurig glas
* Ondersteunende structuur van chroom-metaal
* 6 originele theelepeltjes ontbreken
Conditie
Rare Art Deco Fruit Salad Set in Amber Glass and Chrome Metal
Description
Elegant and unusual vintage fruit salad serving set, consisting of one large central bowl and six individual amber glass bowls, supported by an elaborate chrome-plated metal stand.
The central structure is particularly distinctive and appears to have been specifically designed to accommodate the six original teaspoons, which are now missing. The dedicated openings for the teaspoons are still clearly visible in the central part of the metal structure.
The combination of amber-coloured glass, decorative shapes and chrome-plated metal is characteristic of Art Deco / early 20th-century design. Based on its construction, style and comparison with similar period pieces, the set can be tentatively dated to approximately the 1930s–1940s.
No clearly legible manufacturer’s mark has been identified, therefore no specific maker is attributed.
Measurements
* Height: approx. 33 cm
* Width/diameter: approx. 22 cm
Composition
* 1 central serving bowl
* 6 individual amber glass bowls
* Chrome-plated metal supporting stand
* 6 original teaspoons missing
Condition
Vintage condition consistent with age and use.
The chrome-plated metal structure shows some signs of age and wear. One of the glass pieces has a visible chip/damage, which is clearly shown in the photographs.
The six original teaspoons are missing and are not included in the sale.
The item is sold exactly as shown in the photographs. The photographs form an integral part of the description.
A particularly decorative and unusual piece, suitable for collectors of Art Deco, vintage glassware and early 20th-century tableware.
