The reverse of the coin depicts a pair of astronauts from the year 2999 on the landscape of a new planet, filled with strange vegetation. The planet is being colonized by highly advanced humans of the future. In the sky, stars, planets, and other celestial bodies from another galaxy can be seen. The obverse, as in the previous release, shows the head of an astronaut in space with the helmet lights on. Reflected in the visor is a futuristic city illuminated at night, with Earth visible in the background.
