An antique mahogany wooden Victorian coal scuttle were used in the 19th and early 20th centuries to hold coal or peat for fireside use in a room. The maker, Army & Navy Cooperative Society Limited (S.C.L) were found in 1871 to supply hight-quality goods and after 1934 the official name changed to " The Army & Navy Stores Ltd" The condition is good with slightly trace of using and aging. A label " Army & Navy C.S.L. Makers. " is on inside of the lid, as well as a " P " on the left and " 9 " on the right of the label.
